HMB works with lenders, sellers, buyers, developers, and landlords across a variety of real estate transactions and litigation matters including: eminent domain, property purchases, land use & zoning, construction litigation, lease negotiations, and beyond. Our ability to approach real estate matters from multiple perspectives means we are well-equipped to service all of our clients' legal needs.

Even in strong economic times foreclosures are a standard component of the mortgage industry. Mindful of this, HMB Law Group represents clients in lending matters with sensitivity, creativity and innovation.

While rarely the option of first resort, litigation as well as the threat of litigation is a prominent feature in today’s society. Whether clients need to act affirmatively to protect their rights or are faced with a lawsuit, choosing an experienced litigation team with a proven track record of success in complex, sensitive matters is critical.
Whether it is a fast paced injunction or protracted litigation, the litigators of HMB Law Group, LLC have the experience and knowledge of the courtroom to serve as effective and tenacious advocates for our clients’ positions. However, we never lose sight of the bottom line. We take the time to fully understand our clients’ unique circumstances before devising a strategic and cost-effective approach that is customized for each client’s situation.
The Default Servicing Department is headed by supervising members Stephen Hladik and Miguel Maza.
Mr. Hladik is a former Pennsylvania Deputy Attorney General in charge of the Harrisburg office of the state’s Bureau of Consumer Protection. He is a recognized expert in lending law, Mortgage Foreclosure and Tax Sale Law, and has represented clients from every sector of the mortgage industry.
Mr. Maza has practiced in all aspects of consumer finance law for almost a quarter century, successfully representing lenders and creditors in numerous matters.
